The Saint Mary’s College Department of Mathematics and Computer Science is seeking applications for the Brother Dominic Barry Mathematics Scholarships, to be awarded to incoming freshmen in the Fall 2018 semester. The scholarships — each in the amount of $13,000 annually, which is renewable for up to four years — will be awarded to the two highest scorers on the Math Problem Solving Competition, which is scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday, February 24th, 2018, following the Preview Day events. Following the competition, there will be an opportunity to participate in fun mathematical activities and visit with current Saint Mary’s math majors and faculty.
The scholarship competition is open to any current high school senior who’s planning on majoring in mathematics at Saint Mary’s College, and who completed an application for admission to the College by January 15th, 2018. For more information, or to sign up for the competition, click here.
